We worked with the City of Sydney to explore new ways for Sydney’s leading property owners to engage with their tenants to deliver net zero carbon emissions by 2030 through energy efficiency, transition to 100% renewables and carbon offsets.
Thought Leadership
Together with over 50 sustainability thought leaders from the Better Buildings Partnership, Blue Tribe Co set about analysing key drivers, gathering ideas and insights from real world experiences and identifying achievable near-future opportunities in interactive product and services for building tenants.

Augmented Reality
Social experiences utilising augmented reality were created for workshop participants to demonstrate evidence-based principles for tenant engagement and the effectiveness of combining technology with behavioural science to drive enhanced user experiences.
Creating a Shared Vision
We identified clear opportunities to deliver social and environmental value to property owners and tenants through online platforms for gamification of sustainability initiatives through building v building and city v city competitions, the use of augmented reality to make complex building performance data more accessible to building occupants, and the use of data to connect building occupants actions with broader social impacts.

In recognition of the participants giving their time to be involved in the Tenant Engagement Workshop we have given, on the participants behalf, one years’ worth of secondary education to three children from the Aberdare Ranges school in Kenya to help them break free from the vicious cycle of poverty.
