Our work

01

Net Zero Strategy

We worked with the City of Sydney to explore new ways for Sydney’s leading property owners to engage with their tenants to deliver net zero carbon emissions by 2030 through energy efficiency, transition to 100% renewables and carbon offsets.

02

Urban Farming Strategy

We worked with the University of Sydney and Sustainability Advantage to develop a strategy for the University of Sydney to establish a strategic capability in Urban Agriculture with a view to taking a lead role as a provider of world class education, talent, research and commercialisation capability.

The strategy was underpinned by circular economy principles: integrating food production, industry collaboration, research and development, and energy, waste and water management.

03

Behaviour Change Using Reality TV

We worked with the New South Wales Government, CSIRO, and the Co-operative Research Centre for Low Carbon Living to develop a strategy for a behaviour change program with the objective of getting consumers to build more sustainable housing.

04

Sustainable Product Development

We prototyped and designed a new online platform to address sustainability in the Australian residential sector whilst generating jobs, social connections and local economic activity.

05

Sustainable Digital Product Development

Combining our expertise in agile software methodologies, along with lean start-up and design thinking we developed a digital product for CSIRO as well as the fundamentals of the underlying venture and business model for a new start-up.

06

Research Commercialisation

We worked with researchers from UNSW to develop a path to impact and commercialisation plan for the Built Environment Impact Framework (BEIF).

The Built Environment Impact Framework is a new way for built environment practitioners to strategically consider and prioritise the environmental, social and economic issues most relevant to a project and its location.

07

Innovation Framework for Government Programs

The NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment engaged the Blue Tribe Company to develop an innovative business model design toolkit to support the development of scalable carbon reduction programmes and outcomes from their $2Billion Net Zero Plan.

08

Reimagining Value from Waste Solar Panels

Our client was expecting to decommission approximately 30,000 PV modules in the next few years and was facing the challenge of how to manage this solar waste stream in a manner consistent with their values and the principle of circular economics. Recycling options were limited and expensive so they engaged the Blue Tribe team to develop a solution.

09

Regional Transition Strategy towards Net Zero

Our team was engaged to lead the establishment of Net Zero Hunter as a business alliance/consortium that brings together key local capabilities to advance net zero solutions to commercial readiness and establish the Hunter (one of the worlds largest coal export regions) as the ‘Silicon Valley’ of Net Zero Solutions with a view to deploying solutions locally to achieve a net zero economy whilst establishing major new export markets for net zero solutions.

10

New Low Carbon Knowledge Hub

The Knowledge Hub aims to address the key challenges by providing a central source of knowledge for built environment practitioners and policy makers with easy access to the information they need to make well informed evidence based decisions.
