We prototyped and designed a new online platform to address sustainability in the Australian residential sector whilst generating jobs, social connections and local economic activity.
Concept Design and Prototyping
We prototyped and designed a new platform (Build4Life) to connect home renovators with skilled professionals to achieve two seemingly contradictory objectives: to employ the latest knowledge in behavioural science to guide home renovators to make more sustainable choices, while at the same time transforming the renovation experience into something that was simple, easy to understand using a digital product that people genuinely love to use.

Refine Business Model
Following the “Discovery and Vision” stage where we explored the problem/solution space through customer discovery and insights. We worked with a broad range of stakeholders covering Government, Industry, and Academia to iteratively developed prototype business models and products that were tested through customer insights and a lean user experience method (lean UX).
Validate Idea
Working with the client we defined the scope of a candidate Minimal Viable Product (MVP) using customer storymapping, along with high level design of the system, technology and brand, as well as ensuring a good understanding of business and operational models with agreed KPIs and dependencies largely resolved.
Impact
At Blue Tribe Co we believe that every business has the power to change lives and be a force for good through its everyday business activities.
To put this belief into practice we partner with Buy1Give1 to make a positive impact on lives around the world. Every time you decide to work with us, use one of our services, or participate in one of our events we make a contribution, on your behalf, to one of the projects in Buy1Give1.
On this project, together with our client, we provided a roof for highly vulnerable and underprivileged families in India by building eight homes. Habitat for Humanity supports people who lost their homes in natural disasters or cannot afford to build their own houses. Most of the projects are created using micro financing where the supported families will return the money over time. The money returned will again be used to build another house for another family. Our contribution will be leveraged to support many families in providing proper accommodation to protect them from harsh weather conditions and external danger.
